IntegraMOD Logo Design Contest!

Welcome to integrmod.com!

As you have noticed we have moved to a new Support Forum.

We have moved so that we could offer better support for the IntegraMOD community.

But while we have a new forum we do not yet have a new logo to compliment it. So we would like our new logo to come from the community itself.

So if you are handy with graphics we would love to see what you can create. We will hold a 2 week contest. The winners logo will be used on this support forum as well as new versions of IntegraMOD!

Please post your logo entries in this thread. In 2 weeks from today April 18th 2006 we will creat a poll and you will decide our winner.

The logo should be 504X110 Pixels. Please create a gif or png file that is transperent so that it will work on any of the fisubice colored themes we use here.

You can do animated, but be aware that the more frames you add the slower the page will load, especially for users with older computers or slow connections. Not sure if it is possible to use flash with the banner hack

I had a flash animation on my banner using the the banner hack, but I was trying to use it as my logo. So I had to delete the logo. Just all depends on the layout you are trying to chose for the banner whether it will look good or not.

how did you incorporate the required html to display the swf?

It was easy.

ACP > Styles Admin > Banner

I created a new banner, and I chose "Custom HTML" On the drop down menu in the type.

I then pasted my code there.

That is what I ac tually put in the code box.

I set the image sizes to zero, so that the flash could use it's regulated size.

Selected the Mod for the banner, and then chose where I wanted it.

Worked great, but my guys said it made them sea sick cause it moved back and forth. lol

I'm certainly no Photoshop guru but with the differing color schemes in fisubice theme it seems like built in transparency in the lettering so the image blends into the background might be nice. These are obviously not final products (especially since the last one uses an AcidTech image) but show the transparency...

I think adding slogons is a good idea. We might even choose a banner from one with the slogon from another <img>

Good question Driver 7... I agree with H. Everyone please keep you main logo (page header) to 470x110 or less. So far I like 2 of the slogans including the default but I am open-minded <img>

Also remember that all design is relative to the viewers tastes and piont of view.

I too am qualified as a graphic designer but absolutely loathe some of the mainstream crap we see these days.

I was taught old school design.... I personally don't care for bevelled edges unless REALLY worked over with nice gradients and transitions and stroked well. When that feature was added to all the graphics platforms, people abused the heck out of them. LOL

I do like this one of Driver7 - http://www.btusquad.net/stuff/im/phpbb2_logo4.png :nice: Bevels are subtle and add dimension to pull the focal point back to the title, which is needed to seperate the depth of the frame. <img>

The fire text looks a lot better on a dark background to be honest. On black, I thought it looked 'hot.' <img>

Yeah. You can actually make the banner mod show flash, and depending on your theme you can use it. The logo however you would have to change manually.

Since Okki used my idea <img> , I am going to do something along the same yet different lines. Of course these can be modified by taking out or putting in anything else, incase there is too much going on I can take out some stuff. But here is a dark and transparent.
