{solved} problem installing

i'm trying to install on a new linux server. Everything so far went awesome, it installed with no errors to the database, but for the first login i just get a blank page. i'm tired i think i'm just going to go to bed for now.

hmmm every page is blank.

Should i just re-install it? it still displays a blank page even if i install again with new tables. i've check the files permissions.

could it be something i need to setup with my server?

and is this the 1.40 or the 1.41beta?

so php5 is not compatible? i'm trying to find out with the search feature here but there are not many posts about it and is pretty vague

1.41 is compatible with php5. 1.40 is not. I'am using 1.41 with php5 on test site and works fine.

the only time I've gotten blank pages is when I was trying to use 140 on php5

or a non compatible theme... there is an idea.
What theme are you using?

or some incomplete uploads

i'll check the chmod for the template files if there were any. maybe that is where the problem is.

oh so 140 does not work? i'm uping the files now, might as well stop then.

there are bug fixes to make 140 work with php5, however the challenge is that you cannot install to php5. If you install to php4, you can then apply the bugfixes and move to php5, but it is not an easy task.

that's not a problem, i have a php4 server with my main site. i'm going to leave that there, until i can get it to work.

i'm going to try again a fresh install of 141 on my php5 server, i'll cross my fingers but i'm uploading a different system to one of my sites. i have two sites that need fresh installs of whatever. good time to try other things out while i figure out what to do with my main site ( i want to move it to the new php5 server as is and keep it integramod 141)

I really need help now, I've re-downloaded the RC5 zip, re-uploaded all the files, chmoded them again, and after i click the i have deleted the install prill dir button,

i get a blank page:

is the problem because of the ip address? i've tried to get this to work on a new domain as well and i still get blank pages.

anything else that i would need to post?

Have you just tried loading a simple imdex.html page up to your server and seeing if that can be viewed ok?

yes, i have phpnuke installed on one site temporarily. the other domain i'm going to chmod the install files i just uploaded it new again. on the other one it's just a ip address but it still gets a blank page like the others

again, after clicking the i deleted these dirs, it gives me a page cannot load error. then i press reload and it is blank. itry any pages blank.

i go back and press the button again

crossing my fingers. server says there is only 17megs free, should leave me with 9 eh

changed the memory size to 16, tried to re-install and it still gives a blank page.

server says 59 megs free now. cool. will i need to bump the memory for php up if i run 3 integramod sites?
