Hey I am posting for a guy from another board who has been trying to sign up here for awhile but it keeps telling him he is banned and he doesn't understand why.

His screen name on the other site is moreteavicar and his IP range is 62.252.0.xxx

I told him I would let you guys know so you could figure out what was going on.

There is an IP address in that range in the ban list. Why or how it was banned I don't know. The banlist is huge for some reason...

What should I tell him then?

I realize that he could have possibly done something to GET in that ban list lol, but from what I see on the other site he is well known and helps alot

I guess that's a decision you guys would have to make lol

phpBB Security can have a tendency to be "oversensitive" sometimes. It is possible that he was banned by mistake. If not, we are well protected here. 141 is pretty tight where security is concerned and the server has been "tightened up" by professionals.

He's unbanned and certainly welcome to join the community.
