A few mods

PostAuthor: DjPorkchop » Sat Feb 03, 2007 2:06 pm

I need real bad a few of the mods used in our wonderful litttle integramod package but, they are no longer availbale for download because over half of them, the websites no longer exist. If the authors sites are gone and you cant contact them anymore, can you offer them for download?

Obviously you have them or you wouldnt be able to integrate them in the new packages like this one as they come out?

Just an example for us IM portal users, Yellow card mod, Slide menu Mod, and few others. I could give you a whole run down but if you cant off them there is no sicne making you read any more. <img>

if you dl the Slide menu Mod, it will not look anything like our Integramod 132/141 acp.
Our version was highly modified by webMedic. You would do best to do like I did and read the install, but pull the code from your 140/141 files. Youll also have to either install the jr Admin mod, or edit the code to remove the references to it

How would I go about pulling the info off of one of Integramods installs? The Im Portal and Integramod websites that I run are on two different control panels. I could in essence just Hot Link to them?

I did have a look at the slide menu and it is WAY different as you said. it would work better than current. My ACP is a mile long.

So would it be best for me to actually install (Or just upload the files) a Integramod on that site as well just for code reasons? I have no need for it other than as you suggested, "to pull code from".

the diference between that version of the DHTML Slide Menu for ACP and the IntegraMOD version, is that in that version, when you open a section in the acp, it will stay open until you close it, meaning you may end up with many sections open at the same time. I will see if I can find my edits from FPS Forums. It took a little doing, but I managed to dupicate the IntegraMOD acp menu function
I belive our version is a combo of DHTML Slide Menu for ACP and reduce_admin_navigation_2_2_0

Are you sure? I've got it installed on a test board with CH 2.1.6 and it functions the same as the IM one.

PostAuthor: DjPorkchop » Sun Feb 04, 2007 3:03 pm

Well, Basically what Im up to is, I use Jadestones MPS Mod And thats the only reason why I use plain jane phpBB with Im Portal, otherwise I only Install Integramod. Allthough, I have learned a whole mess of new stuff by just installing Im Portal and playing. It has been entertaining. Wished I would have done it long ago. :D Wrong. he he he I pulled it off. Got minor tweaking to go but it works.

I do not have CH installed. The only mods I have installed are the basics. Security, spambot stopper, Color Goup mod, MPS mod, Tops sites, and down_db by austin inc. and Extreme Styles.

If you 2 fellas wish to see what Im up to of what I have done so far, pm me and Ill give you a link to what I have so far. If none of these mods will work with what I have done so far after you have checked into it, Ill end my quest and bug someone til the end of time to make MPS Integramod ready. <img>

Have a great day/night gents. Ray

im not positive. Its been about 2 years ago that I installed it, (if it is the same mod) and I had to use some of the 132 code to make it work the same

I had to go look up what the MPS mod was...

It would take some doing, but it's not impossible. PCP would need a major overahaul. I don't really have time to do anything more serious then play around with this, so I don't want to say that it will get done. But, I'll have a look at some point I'm sure.

Nahhhh Teel. Its all good buddy. You guys/gals have more to worry about with a new version just released than to worry about a mod that is being looked at/.requested.. Im perfectly content on using Im portal for now as It is a fine progrma that Master David did and works a treat. I ahve no issues with it. My users are happy and so am I. Im just looking for a few mods Admin side to help me out some.

You and Helter and all the others are a great asset to this community and to tie up time worrying about something ike this is pointless to say the least. I do have a test site up and running with it and the major obstacle so far is user_register.php and PCP mod.

Keep up your guys good work and in the near future if I can get some help with the yellow flag mod and My acp issues, that would be more than I could ever hope for. <img>

Thx so much for all your guys help so far. I and my users REALLY appreciate it. Have a great day/night. Ray

Yeah Foundit, you happen to have a good copy of yellow card mod with GOOD instructions? I downloaded the other one and found the instructions to be rather nasty for such a nice mod. Had major issues installing it on a .22 BB. I had to resort back to my backup.

there is a few others I am really looking for and have a list O' mods in my note book. Ill look them up and shootyou a PM here or at FF site.

Cheers. <img>

Thx. Ill have a look at it. And I was wondering about the KB mod as well. I found one and thread after thread says it has insecurities in it. And the sql that came with it will NOt work on a .22 phpBB. I found sql queries at phpBB.com and it worked, kind of. Many, MANY bad issues. and yes, :D

Oh and a good version of userlist for ACP? I have one version installed now and it works good except, if you delte any users via the userlist instead of through the regular management, it deletes everyone on that page.

Not sure If Ill be able to reply back anytime soon. I think Im hospital bound. Was supposed to go earlier in the evening and ditched the thought to continue editing my site. Think its time I go. Im rather sick andhave lost hearing in both of my ears. <img>

The KB MOD installed with IM had to be overhauled to work correctly and fix the security issues. It's based on the KB MOD at http://www.mxbb.com, the one for phpBB specifically, there are two versions there.

What you can try is to use the install instructions from the MOD, but use the files from IntegraMOD instead. Off the top of my head, I don't see why it wouldn't work.

Yeah Teelk, thats what I was thinking too, UNFORTUNEATLY, the sql that comes with the KB downloads will not run.

I found and used one from phpBB and it worked BUT you couldnt create or delete any categories. If you did, it trashed the database everysingle time. The categories lines were in the database and as soon as you delete a category, all of them were gone and it wouldnt allow you to create any others and it would take you to index.php on submit of a new category.

KB sure would be nice, but as we all know me and sql just dont get along to good. Anything outside of inserting and dumping in the db admin, Im useless.
