So I installed IM3 with no problems and started messing around with the site. Now its like im locked out or something. Anything i try to go to it just says "Sorry but you are not permitted to use the search system." I can go to login or anything it just returns this to me. Any thoughts on what to do here? just installed to test out and see whats up with the new version...

You must have at least 1 publicly viewable forum. If all forums are set to private then as soon as you logout, you will get locked out.

The easiest solution is to use the phpBB Admin Toolkit to login and set at least one of the forums to viewable by guest

unzip and upload this file to forum root/blocks/
empty your forum root/cache/ but leave index.html and .htaccess and retry

this block is partially crippled. I will add the final block as soon as Mike is finished with it, but for now, it should solve your issue.

ok, Mike told me the part I removed from the block was unnecesary, so I will add the block as you dl'd it to the main release
