Removal of posts from shoutbox

Hey all is there a way to remove posts from a shoutbox?

Yes.

If you go to your phpMyAdmin. Select your database, and scroll through the list on the left until you find to phpbb_shout. Click on it and then in the tabs across the top of the page click on Browse.

Then you will see a list of all the shouts ever shouted on your site.

You will get 1 through 30 on each page. The 1st one will be the oldest. So scroll down to the bottom of the page and you will see "Page Number" with a drop down menu beside it. If you go to the last page number you will find the most recent shouts.

Now, to remove a shout, you need to click on the little red x thats right beside the pencil in the same row as the shout you want to remove.

A window will open and ask if you are sure you want to do that. Click yes, and the shout will be gone from your site. <img>

Wow, that's more complicated than it needs to be.

Click on shoutbox in the board navigation and it opens up shoutbox_max where you can delete shouts just like regular posts.

lol. Never knew about that method.

But really, it's not all that complicated. It's just my explanation thats complicated. lol
