Updating Question

PostAuthor: googler » Mon Jun 05, 2006 10:07 pm

Hello Everyone, :)

First of all, I downloaded KisMod 2.0.17 from the site, then I downloaded the updates named "phpbb_2017_to_2019". And finally, "Integramod_2.0.19-2.0.20".

Now I am going to describe the steps in which I updated it. I copied the install folder from "phpbb_2017_to_2019" and ran the "update_to_latest.php" file. Exactly like this, I copied the install folder from "Integramod_2.0.19-2.0.20" and ran the "update_to_latest.php" file.

My Questions:
1) Is there any step that I did wrong here?
2) Am I missing any steps here?
3) Are the "premodded files" in each update to be used during this process or are they supposed to replace the files?

Thankyou for this wonderful modification for phpBB and a useful support community.

Well as long as you have not made any modifications to the original install, then just copying over the pre-modded files will work fine.

You also should update your phpbb security from 1.02 - 1.03. I think this should be done before the 2.0.19 - 2.0.20 install. However you may be able to do it after 2.0.20 as well, but I am not sure.

If you are getting errors, what are they?

It maybe something not related to the update.

If the files were changed what is the easiest way to apply them to it?

If you changed files, the easiest way is to use FTP and copy them in. Just make sure you have original backups though.
