Jr. Admin

Don't know what I'm missing, but for some reason my Junior Admins can't access the A.C.P.
I don't have problems with the colors. Just the A.C.P.
This is the error message that I'm getting:
[code]General ErrorThe requested module does not exist or you are not an authorized user. DEBUG MODE Line ]
I've seen some topics on the old site, but i'm not really sure what to do with it, as it's a little unclear, what's actually gonna fix this problem.
Anybody got a clue?

this is a post that Teelk made. Have you done the update?
The Jr. Admin color takes a few days to change for some reason. It's possible that it's cached somewhere, try deleting and recompiling your eXtreme styles cache.
Jr. Admins not being able to access admin area is a known bug that has been fixed. It's included in the 2.0.18 update, which I would suggest everyone use as soon as possible. There are some MAJOR security holes that 2.0.18 fixes, that the rediculous human beings known as script kiddies are having fun with, defacing websites.
You can find the update in the downloads section under Patch Files.

my site is running 2.019... waiting for the patch to 2.020
and I don't have problems with the colors. I have problems with having my Junior admins access the admin panel.
Any suggestions? Am I forgetting something?

Hey... sorry... been busy for a while.
Any news on this? I've checked my permissions and found a few misstakes, but it was only for the "Statistics" requiered files. So that's fixed now. Didn't find anything else though. Could it be, that there is something wrong with the SQL tables?

I have the same problem and the fix did not work for me.
I just have more work to do on my forum without Jr, Admins. <img>

Yep, me too! Don't like having to make full admins of people with very little forums knowledge (after months of learning the ropes as moderators that is!)
As the last few posts say... anyone ever solved this?

I'm going to try and ask for help one more time. I did a fresh install of 1.40 that is updated to 2.0.22 and still get the following error.
- Code: Select all
Warning]: failed to open stream: Permission denied in c:inetpubwwwrootforumincludesfunctions_jr_admin.php on line 154 Warning: jr_admin_check_file_hashes() [function.include]: Failed opening './../admin/modules/' for inclusion (include_path='.;c:php4pear') in c:inetpubwwwrootforumincludesfunctions_jr_admin.php on line 154 Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in c:inetpubwwwrootforumincludesfunctions_jr_admin.php on line 161 Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at c:inetpubwwwrootforumincludesfunctions_jr_admin.php:154) in c:inetpubwwwrootforumadminpage_header_admin.php on line 136 Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at c:inetpubwwwrootforumincludesfunctions_jr_admin.php:154) in c:inetpubwwwrootforumadminpage_header_admin.php on line 138 Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at c:inetpubwwwrootforumincludesfunctions_jr_admin.php:154) in c:inetpubwwwrootforumadminpage_header_admin.php on line 139 General Error The requested module does not exist or you are not an authorized user. DEBUG MODE Line : 52File : pagestart.php
I know it's not a chmodd problem because I have given full access to every file in my forum folder for testing this. This is the only thing I cant get working on my 1.40 site and I do not wish to upgrade to 1.41.
Can someone please help me?

Has support been dropped on 1.4.0?

no, it has not. the prob is that presently our programing staff is all dealling with real life issues that are keeping them temporarily out of action. Those of us who are left would only be guessing. Ill try to help you on this though. I can say that when i updated to php5 and applied the php5 fixes to get my 140 site back up, my jr admin feature stopped working. When I updated to 141 it was fixed.
just checked my site with a test account and it works fine. There is no admin link in the qbar for jr admins though, only the footer "Go to Administration Panel" link

I setup my site on a Win 2003 server with PHP 4.4.4 and MySQL 4.1.22.
Could it be the version of PHP I'm using?

no, I dont think so. I think my problem with php was that the 140 version was probably not php5 compatible.
what is your url?
