Yes mate have installed the dictionary files.

I've seen that happen before elsewhere, but I have no idea what causes it, or how to fix it.

Ah well if you do find out please let me know.

Until then I think I shall just hide the spell check button to Firefox users...seems the simplest way.

Is it everyone who uses Firefox? From what I have seen of that issue before, it was related to a specific user's browser, and not every one.

Appreciate that...ignore any other bugs and changes, had a "friend" try and change some bits and pieces so in process of putting them all back.

It happens for me as well. You say a "friend" was making changes. Do you know what he had been changing?

That was my sarcasm... the friend was supposed to help with theme issues and compatability in IE7 but only succeeded in deleting large chunks of theme data. I have most of it back now and nothign that would effect the spell checker.

Also spellchecker works in IE7 so its not a case of broken spellchecker.

Appreciate you guys trying it; now I know for sure its a FF issue.

I have zipped a working copy of the spell check mod from IM140 (minus the dictionary files).
http://www.simplicitypoint.com/temp/spelling.zip

Maybe if you replace yours with these, it might work?

As always, back up your old files, just in case.

Thank you appreciate that.

First I am reuploading and installign fisubice to see if its a template issue. If no joy there then will try and reupload the files.

Nope no joy.

Same thing happens. I must be missing something somewhere. Where else are there spelling check related files?

opera does the same too...guess there is something wrong with the code for opening the spell checker.

I'm wondering if there could be a misconfiguration on the server? Mime type problems perhaps? I'm afraid at this point I don't have any other ideas.

I am thinking you are correct and that the spell check is more hassle than I have time for. Back to plan B of making the button only show for IE users.

Wow this will be a first for me; only supporting IE
