Usergroups wont give permissions

i will assign someone to a userggroup that has permission to a certian forum...but it doesnt give that individul the permission, but the usergroup has the permissions...am i doing something wrong.

how did you assign the group to the forum? through private forum? Have you all your def chmods correct?

i did them both through private and private hidden...didnt think about looking through the chmods tho...but i just left them on defualt that the private had it on.

no the chmods are set to private. what should i do?
