Poll Placement Problem

PostAuthor: Phreak » Wed Jun 07, 2006 3:18 pm

Hello everybody. I have a little problem and I was wondering if you can help me somehow.

I have installed IM Portal 1.2.0 and whenever I make a new poll, it appears after the header blocks, when it should actually appear beside them (in the center). I searched the forums for something similar and came up with nothing. If you could give me a hint on how I can solve my problem I would be grateful.
Oh, one last thing: after I make a choice in the poll, it comes back to normal

Here's a screen of my problem:

I have this exact problem, although I'm using IntegraMod 1.40 rather than IMPortal. I also can't find a solution anywhere on these forums.

Does it do it on all themes or just that one? I ask that because I had a similar issue with icgstation when I used it. The poll page would screw up until you voted...

I'm using wowHorde template. The poll works fine if I use FI Subice.

Try overwriting the /templates/wowhorde/blocks/poll_block.tpl with the /templates/fisubice/blocks/poll_block.tpl... if it's working in fisubice that probably means that the block file in wowhorde is corrupted.

Looking at your screenshot it does look like a template issue........

I believe icstation is available in the template downloads here.....use the portal template files from there to see if it resolves your problem....

just an idea...

I've tried replacing portal_poll_ballot.tpl and portal_poll_result.tpl in wowHorde with the files from FISubice and it still doesn't display properly. I've replaced poll_block.tpl with the one from FISubice. FISubice shows polls fine, wowHorde does not.

/confused

i think i have found a way to it.
please check it yourselfs (cause it might not work <img>)
anyway here we go .
Code: Select all
open the viewpost_body.tpl FIND:{POLL_DISPLAY}     <tr>         <th>{L_AUTHOR}</th>         <th>{L_MESSAGE}</th>  REPLACE WITH:</table>{POLL_DISPLAY}<table><tr><th>{L_AUTHOR}</th><th>{L_MESSAGE}</th>

The code im replacing it is from Fisubice
To me it did fixed the layout of polls (now i dont know if anymore problems come from that move)

If you can't vote in the poll in the portal, it is a bug.

Known fixes that worked can be found here.
