I have just found this at phpbb.com so i advise everyone who has upgrade to do the same

there is an issue with quotes and they are advising all phpbb site owners to turn off html or remove pre

- go to admin panel
- General Admin
- Configuration
- search for:

 Allowed HTML tagsSeparate tags with commas  

- remove

 pre  

(or disable html)
- save settings

After looking further into the upgrades and spending time with them its a bit of a mess.

The official stance from phpBB is that having "allow html" turned on is a security risk....so it may be possible this feature could end up being written out. <img>

now this interest me, because the members of my forum enjoy having a rotating signature so they can show off the many "signature tags" they make.

it would be a shame to have to disable the html and i hope this can be fixed so i do not have to.

is this a problem that arises after the latest php upgrade?
