Force To Read (FTR) Permission problem

I have just attempted to use FTR to make my users read an important topic. The topic is in a private forum. I find that, if I activate the mod with that topic set as FTR, then the topic becomes unavailable because anyone trying to read it is logged out. Even if they relog in, FTR redirects them to a "topic not found" page, because the topic is in a private forum.

However, if I use FTR to redirect people to a topic in a public forum, it works fine.

Any ideas?

If people dont have access to a private forum they cant read the topic.

Aye, the problem is that even those who should have access can't read the topic, if it's in a private forum.

Ah, well, im not sure then.. If its working in Public, then im not sure...it was only made i think for either new, or registered members, not certain groups (Correct me if im wrong)...so that could be why....its automatically clashing and blocking everyone from seeing it becasue its in the private forum.
