Security Update question

I remember reading on these forums that I have to install Security update before upgrading to .21 phpbb. Problem is, I already upgraded to .21. Is it too late to install the update?

It's not impossible, but you should do a manual update. You may find that because you've updated the code that some of the code won't match the FIND code from the manual update. In this case, you can try to find the FIND code by doing partial line searches and comparing your files to unmoddified ones.

Is there any instructions, guidelines, or documents posted as to how to do this? As in what lines to replace with what info?

Does this have to be done on a fresh install of integramod? I did a fresh install then upgraded to .21 without using any security updates.

Also, do I have to edit every single file involved? I'm sure there are others as ignorant as I am and did the same thing. <img> There has to be an easier way to go about installing this. Maybe I can re-install integramod somehow and do it right this time.

I just had a hack this morning...someone replaced my portal.php file. Someone from Turkey. All I had when I went to my site is a Big red screen with a Turkish flag and a big yellow message saying, "This site has been Hacked". I replaced my portal.php file and all is good again, but it just makes me wonder how much worse it could have been and I want to prevent it.
