Still havn't found a solution...

At most I need the Poster Ranks to be shown... Other than that the feild selection list being broken, would be nice, no it's not needed.

Have you checked:

ACP
PCP
PCP Wizard
Quick Buddy List

You can set which fields are default, forced, selectable, or hidden.

I had the same problem with fields not responding to user selections. I found that if you change the setting of the field which is misbehaving within the Quick Buddy List (see above), submit the setting change and change it back again the selections work properly. I assume this is due to the settings being re-written in the database. For instance, change "poster rank" to default, submit the revision, change it back to selectable and submit. Does it work now?

This is a fix for the poster ranks not displaying in the Memberlist.

Admin Control Panel > P.C.P. > Maps defintion > PCP > Buddy > Edit > Find "user_rank_title" > Click 'Edit' > Click the 'Output' tab > Find "Display the text value" > Select 'Yes' > Click Submit and Submit again.

TADA!

I decided to go dig around, thought for a second, then I went right to it... As I said I noticed on this server only images show for ranks... Then I remembered in the PCP settings they had text varibles, so I figured I'd go check it out. And sure enough there it is. Text values was set to 'No'. Quick fix for that. I hope some people can benefit from my digging.

I tried that and I set it to yes, but it changes back to no as soon as I submit it. Why wont it accept any of my changes?

A Third Memberlist Issue

PostAuthor: Dr. Bantham » Sat Jun 24, 2006 6:40 am

I am having trouble getting the FLAG to display within Memberlist. I corrected the language key at ACP-->PCP-->PCP Wizard-->Quick Buddy List-->user_flag (change Legend of the Field to profil_country).

I proceeded to ACP-->PCP-->Maps Definition-->PCP-->buddy [edit]-->user_flag [edit]-->Output, and Display the Image Value was set to NO. Changing it to YES and submitting does not take (it reverts back to NO). Clicking on the Buddy/Memberlist tab, I noticed that the SQL definition was also empty. I tried [FLAGS].flag_id, [FLAGS].flag_name and [FLAGS].flag_image. Nothing was accepted, as each setting disappeared just as the change to Display the Image Value.

Viewing the Memberlist here at KisMod, it appears that my problem is not unique as flags are not displayed therein either. Furthermore, when I attempt to make the changes to a clean IM installation which I use for testing, I receive the same results. Note: be sure to let the full data to be displayed before clicking on the Output or Buddy/Memberlist tabs, as they will boot you back to the ACP-->PCP-->Maps Definition menu otherwise.

I did find this post in the IM Archives:
http://integrmod.com/home/viewtopic.php?t=8250

This does indicate that this is a known bug, however I do not believe the solution stated therein is a true fix.

I changed a few things along the way, but the one that appeared to have fixed the flag bug in memberlist is:

OPEN profilecp/def/def_usermaps.php

FIND
Code: Select all
                        'user_flag' => array(

ADD AFTER]                                 'img'          => true,[/code]

There appears to be another problem here. The above fix is displaying flags - but only for members that have not updated their security information when IM 1.40 came along. The field must have changed once this move was made, and the memberlist mapping is referencing the old field.

If you see a flag in memberlist, you can bet that clicking on the public profile view will not display a flag and viewing the registration info indicates that a country flag has not been selected. I have been staring at PCP settings for too long now. Any ideas?

I suspect the field mixup is between user_country and user_flag. I have to walk away...
