[Solved] Invalid_Session when trying to send a PM.

Hey I have one user (well, just one user who has reported it) saying that he can't send private messages because when he does it says

General Error

Invalid_Session

Does anyone have a clue what this is about? The only thing I've done to my boards lately is adjust the Cache on most of my blocks. Is it possible that a cache value that I set is causing this problem for one user. I think my host also upgraded to MYSQL5 but I have already performed all the known fixes and not to mention this guy had been using PM's on a regular basis long after they upgraded to MYSQL5.

Anyone have any ideas. I couldn't find anything in the search related to my problems. There was once an issue like this when people would try to retrieve their password ... I read about that on the search.

Nothing to do with all that you mentioned.

What he did probably was to leave his computer for a short while, then his session expired.

In his URL, he had the "&sid=<numbers>" and since that session ID expired, it was deemed as an invalid session.

I got this error before and all I had to do is just to reload the page.

We found the problem today.

Jackie what you said makes sense, but this is a re-occurring problem for this user. Like everytime he tries to send a PM it would give him that message.

SOLUTION:

The user reporting this error was using Yahoo's internet browser instead of IE or Mozilla. So once he switched back to IE the problem was fixed. Just a simple compatibility issue between the browser and the forums. It would be something to look into for future releases though if anyone expects yahoo's browser to take off anytime soon.
