When posting a new Topic in IM 1.4.0 you get a the option to:

Select news category: 'Regular Post' or 'News' which is very useful

However, i am doing another forum with just IMPortal on, the above option does not appear on it, so i presume it is a mod or a part of one.

Can anyone tell me which mod it is or which mod is required to install it.

IntegraMOD has News Management (found in Admin Panel) which I guess allows you to choose between regular posting and news posting.

Check that the forum you have with IM Portal only has this or not. If it does not have, this means it's due to the News Management.

I'm not sure if that is a MOD or not.

Yes, been having a rumage around, i think it's in the cmx/slash news mod, but it dosen't seem to be supported by the author anymore.
