After Domain transfer, a few problems [Solved]

I have recently changed servers, i backed up everything and have transfered it all. It is up and running under the same domain name, krillmeed.com. A couple of things are not right with the forums, first is when you first log in it comes up with "If your browser does not support meta redirection please click HERE to be redirected" which is annoying but not threatening, but i would like to get rid of that. Secondly and more importantly, the hundreds of pictures in the various albums are not showing. The database is the same and the pictures have been uploaded to the same place, seems they are not linking. Is there anything i should change to repair this?

So correct me if I am wrong you did the following

Uploaded your old database to a new server database with the same name?
Uploaded all your old files to your new folder in the sme folder name?
Performed the chmod to set all your folder permissions?
Adjusted your nameservers of your domain to point to your new server?

You need to contact your server then I would say and ask them why you cant chmod

that error sounds like it may be a windows box. Just make sure all files that should be 777 are read/writable

For the images, make sure that no Hotlink Protection is blocking them from appearing. If you have access to cPanel, check that krillmeed.com is in the allowed URLs.

For "If your browser does not support meta redirection please click HERE to be redirected", I suppose it's your host side, so try asking them.

I don't think CHMOD will affect any of the problems you stated here. CHMOD 777 is needed so that users can upload pictures. In this case it's pictures not appearing. But since you said you can't CHMOD, check with your host. Like Helter said, it could be a Windows server.

This is what they have said:

Ticket Status was changed from Open to Resolved

Hello,

Sorry but you asked us to implement the Unix-based permissions system on the Windows-based account. It is not possible. Please also note that PHP already has the necessary access level to all your folders,

for example: it is not necessary to set permissions like
777 images/avatars

PHP is able to write to the folder /avatars without any additional permissions.

Is there no way that this can be changed at all, i am told my forums will not work properly without it, it is a integramod forum, not a phpbb2 one

Hello,

It can't be done on Windows-based server. The permissions you provided are Unix-based. Could you please get instreuctions for Windows-based servers?

Please also note that it doesn't matter what forum you use (phpBB2 or any other). The only thing that does matter is the fact that this forum is PHP-based.

If you are on a Windows server, you have one advantage - You do not have to CHMOD at all.

This goes for the same when you install IM on your own computer with Windows. There are no CHMODDing.

Read my previous post about the images.

i have asked about the meta direction, still waiting for a reply, as for the pics, i clicked on the white square and cross thumbnail and came up with a page of this:

Sorry yes i did, it was not that, the server says it was a space in one of the files, i also put this fix in as well: http://smartor.is-root.com/viewtopic.ph ... c&start=30 The pics are now working perfectly, that topic also kind of mentions the meta redirection, the server says it is a browser problem with php, maybe because they are a window server. If i do not get the meta redirection totally out i will make a new post. Thanks for all your help :D
