Problem with user ban

I have a user that was banned, but I removed him from the ban list. For some reason, the forum still thinks he's banned, even though his username isn't in the ban list.
The only thing I can think of is that he has logged onto the forums using the same computer as someone else that is banned, and that person and their IP addresses are banned.

I went ahead and removed all the IP's from the ban list, but it's still showing him banned.

Did you also make sure his ip wasn't banned in the ctracker as well by mistake? if you added a user agent or ip there it may be seeing his by mistake. Especially if you entered a range.
If no, then tell him to delete his cookies on both the site and from his browser as well as the cache of his browser. The completely shut down the browser and try again.
Also be careful of why members are banned in the first place.

I don't know what the ctracker is... as far as him clearing his cookies, that won't help because when you look at his information in the member list, it says he's banned. There are now only 3 names and no IP's in the ban list and he's not in there...

What version of IM are you using?
You might also try going to User Admin and typing in his name, look around there.

other than that I am at a loss
