I made a poll topic in my forum section and i wonted to make it show on the portal page on the site Survey block but it was not showing so i tryed to see if it worked in the forum topic but when i vote it does not add a vote to any of the choises but it says "votes 3"

in the IM portal config page i set the poll ip to 23 witch is the # on the end of the poll topic in the forum. the poll block is up on the portal page but theres nothing in it, also my announcement block does not work ether, have updated forum to 20.21 and securty to 1.03, have looked over the forum for fixes to my problem and added the ones i foumd, but still not working is there a setting of a page im missing?

just to clarafy what im saying this is whats happening

have made a poll topic in forum and have added the topic id to poll id in the portal config section but the view topic block on my portal does not show any thing
have set all permissions to admid but "view, read, vote",

the poll forum id i have is 27, Poll Bar Length i put to 6, no matter what i do i cant get any thing to show in the poll block

also when i vote its not showing as being voted on it says i voted but its still 0 votes?

I think i might have found out why my polls and announcements dont work,
I think it has something to do with codeing in the blocks, i tryed posting a html code in a block. set it to None added the script in the block, set the block to HTML with Cache. the script is a link to a wallpaper site to show wallpaper of the day. it works on my other site but for some reason i think something is wrong with the coding of the blocks to let script work in them, BBcode works fine.

any one have any idea how i can fix this i really need to get this fixed. if you need access to my site that can be arranged to

You say that your polls aren't registering votes either? There was a fix for that in one of the phpBB updates. I'll take a look to see if I can find the edits and you can check to see if they've been added to your site...

sence this problem doesnt seem to be fixable, would like to know if theres a way to keep my members database but reinstall IM 1.4.0, have updated to 20.21 but i cant get my polls, anounncements, to work also Signitures will not show, and if i add a html script in a block to have it do something it will not do it, probly other things not working to just havent forun them.
so i have a major problem with forum and no one can seem to help me, so i was wondering if theres any way to reinstall the forum but keep my member base so they do not have to reregester

Yes you can do that through phpmyadmin the table you need is users that holds all the users data.

No do not update to 1.4.1 yet as it has not been released and no support will be given to BETA versions, once 1.4.1 has been officially released then yes there is a full upgrade path from 1.4 and 1.3 to 1.4.1

dang ..... there has to be something missing in my forum to cause this problem wish i had the knolage to fix it ...........

You could try installing a fresh download on to a new clean database and see if the error exists, if it does not then import you old database to the fresh working one and see what happens
