Hi,

How to hide poster/author information while browsing the forum posts. I feel the space taken to dispaly the avatar, number of posts, rank etc is taking too much space.

Is there a templace where i can display this info either below the post etc ?

You used to be able to do this easily with phpbb in viewtopic.tpl (I think it was called, now viewtopic_body.tpl)

But thanks to PCP, it's gone retarded <img>

Since you want to remove stuff from the left you won't have much difficulty, but adding them below might be tricky.

I will show you how to edit the material in the (here on will be called "left box") area that currently houses your avatar, name, rank etc..

I always suggest trying it out on a demo board first and ALWAYS do back ups!

CHMOD to 666 the following files. Make sure you remember what they were and put them back when you're done

profilcp/def/def_usermaps.php
profilcp/def/def_userfields.php


Goto ACP/PCP/Map Definitions

Then click,

PHPBB -> viewtopic -> left

Everything here is what is inside left box. If you would like to move them around or maybe delete them then just click EDIT at the bottom and then you'll see arrows to move them up and down on the fly and to even edit the field itself. Just make sure to hit submit until it tells you it has made the change.

So for you, since you wanted them removed from there and possibly added to below the message box itself (if I understood correctly), I really think would take up the same amount of space. Sorry laws of physics...

But if you want to experiment you can play around with it.

Unfortunately I don't think the old value's that existed in phpbb are still in use with integramod because of PCP.

I will mess around with it on a test board when I get a chance.

Thanks HelterSkelter,, sometimes its funny that we look everywhere else except the right place <img> thats what i did hehe.

Is there anyways that i can make the viewtopic left pane appear below the post ?
