Making the change from Fully Modded

I am changing from a phpbb fully modded site, to Integramod. Integramod seems to be much more functional, and bug free. Also, I am tired of paying $25.00 to the developers every time the wind changes direction. Also, their support is horrendous, and makes the baby Jesus cry.

I checked to see if I could find an answer, but could not find one.

My question - if I do a fresh install, is there an easy way to import my user data into my lovely new Integramod installation ?
I know this is not a mysql support group, but if you have any hints or can point me to a solution, I would appreciate it. I am excited to get started on my installation of Integramod, but want to know I have all my ducks in a row first.

It is possible if you familiarise yourself with the databases and their layouts.

By this I mean:
Make a complete backup of your existing database.

install integramod on your server and then back that database up too.

Then sit and compare the two noticing the similarities.

You can then use phpmyadmin to import the neccessary chunks from the old database to the new.

Whilst thats not a complete guide I know it should give you some idea. Good luck.

If you just want the users and post data, you could always make a copy of your forum and revert it back to plain phpbb, and then upgrade to IM. That will get all your post data and users in without doing the table work.
