Missing files??!!!??!!!??!!!

Ok i get a bunch of errors...saying these files are missing, not all at once just through out the forum, stuff like user_welcome, prvtmsg, and i cant remeber the others.lol but the problem is, is tha when i went back to reinstall just thos files...THEY WERE MISSING! so what do i do?? <img>

I think they are not files you are missing but posts.

You probably deleted post number 1, and did not turn of FTR (force topic read) or give FTR a new post.

The other maybe is Welcome message, wich is missing a message?

How did you upload this? sometimes if you unzip locally then upload all the files to site, you can get missing files, especially depending which ftp prog you use and which host you have.

yea i unzipped it then uploaded it. but when i downloaded the mods agian to get the files, i looked at it through winrar the files were not in there either. the did turn off the FTR tho.

the files you are missing are in the following directory
language/lang_english/email/*.tpl

Reupload all of those files

Well...now i have another problem. Its still doing the same thing, but this time its saying it failed to send it and wont say waht file...

check your email settings
ACP -> General Admin -> Configuration -> Email Settings

Maybe your server won't allow you to use PHP mailer. Try setting your SMTP server settings and see if that works.

ok ill try it but that wasnt an error from an email. it was an error from registering someone....

the error was that the system could not send the Welcome Email.

The file includes/emailer.php is what is reporting the error.

I switched it to SMTP but what server host am i supposed to put in?

you would have to check with your host provider.

usually your SMTP server is mail.yourdomain.com
using the same login as your main ftp account

I would contact the Tech Support for your server Host and ask them what your SMTP settings are for your domain.
