[solved] 2.0.18 to 2.0.19

I went to the other site and tried to download the files needed to upgrade from 2.0.18 to 2.0.19 but everytime I go into the download page it tells me I'm not logged in, so obviously there are issues there.

I need the file edits - I haven't added any mods but I have deleted a few things here and there so when I upload the edited files it overwrites those.

Any help would be great.
Thanks

Download from this site.
The Install Doc is included in that download, and it has all the manual file edits inside of it.

Thanks for the nice quick response, i'll check it out.

I'm getting kind of confused with php updates, and then the security updates...is there anything I should know before installing this?

I'm kind of paranoid when it comes to upgrading because my host only allows like 50 sql queries an hour, so if anything happens to my board, I don't have a backup because the backup option never worked, and I'd have to contact my host to put the website back up

I've read all about the little security box that is supposed to be in the ACP if you've upgraded from 1.0.2 to 1.0.3 and I don't have that box, so I assume I have 1.0.2 correct?

Which should I install first? 2.0.18 to 2.0.19 or the security update 1.0.2 to 1.0.3?

They were the names you specified when you installed IntegraMod. You need to look at your original file (before updating) to get the information currently stored there.

lol, you must have been replying before i edited my post, i reread the directions a few times and then understood it.

So which do I install first? 2.0.18 to 2.0.19 then 1.0.2 to 1.0.3 and then finally 2.0.19 to 2.0.20?

Thanks,
Kat

I would install the Security update first, if you don't have it installed already.

I have another small problem.

I wanted to backup my database before I installed all of these changes.

I tried to follow the directions here: http://integramod.com/forum/portal.php?page=9 but my issue is this:

I do not have Cpanel, I have Vdeck, but I do know how to get into phpmyadmin and all that.

However, my issue is that I originally had trouble with installing IntegraMod and for some reason I have two databases. One titled Forum and the other titled phpbb...I do not know which one is the correct forum. And I am only allowed two databases. So I can't just make backups of both.

Is there a way of finding out which database I used? I think I used one for one install and one for another install, so they both have tables which seem alike.

Thanks again

Do you have access to an ftp program .....if you do open the file config.tpl and it will tell you the name of your database....

Ok, lol. Thanks for everything everyone. I'm gonna attempt all this now.

I'll let you know how it goes

So I'm done editing the files for the security update, and I start to upload the copies

#-----[ COPY ]------------------------------------------
copy root/templates/fisubice/login_security.tpl to templates/fisubice/login_security.tpl
copy root/templates/fisubice/admin/admin_security_body.tpl to templates/fisubice/admin/admin_security_body.tpl
copy root/templates/fisubice/admin/admin_security_members_body.tpl to templates/fisubice/admin/admin_security_members_body.tpl
copy root/templates/fisubice/admin/admin_security_search_body.tpl to templates/fisubice/admin/admin_security_search_body.tpl
copy root/templates/fisubice/admin/admin_security_special_body.tpl to copy root/templates/fisubice/admin/admin_security_special_body.tpl

-------------------------------------------

However, I notice that in the zip in that folder, there is another folder titled "iu" with these same files in it. But the directions say nothing about this "iu" folder, should I do anything with it?

i believe the ui folder is safe to ignore. I did not use anything from it and I have update 9 forums so far w/ no trouble. I did not look, but i assumed they were the original un edited files

ok, thanks.

I'm going to try to install these, but I think I'll be safer doing them a few days apart that way if anything goes wrong i'll know which thing did it at least a little bit better.

Thanks again everyone

That sounds like a good plan. And don't forget to make a backup of your unedited files.

Well it looks like I have run into a problem.

I have not upgraded to 2.0.20 yet because I think I need to fix this problem first.

I'm not sure if I should post it here, or open a new topic, so until someone tells me otherwise I'll post it here.

I have upgraded to 2.0.19 and 1.0.3 and now when posting a PM my members and I get:

Ran into problems sending Mail. Response: 553 sorry, that domain isn't in my list of allowed rcpthosts (#5.7.1)

DEBUG MODE

Line : 152
File : smtp.php

There is also another error when posting a message. I don't have the other error handy at the moment, but it was pretty much along the same lines, though I think it listed a different line in smtp.php

In my Config area I have disabled on for sending of mail through board, but listed lower I have "Use SMTP Server for email" checked off as yes and my mail server listed below that, but no username or password in there, because in the past when I have put them, I get weird messages. So basically this is how it was configured before I upgraded, and now i'm getting these errors, which is annoying my 300+ members. lol

Please help

Is there a particular reason you are using SMTP? Try setting Use SMTP to no and see if that helps.

I just assumed I was supposed to I think...or maybe it was because I was having trouble with it awhile back and was told to put the info in.

See, the thing is the error doesn't always happen. In fact it hasn't happened to me at all today.

I did just change the setting to no, so we will have to see what happens and see if anyone reports any more errors. Its just weird that it would all of the sudden have trouble considering it didn't in the last year since I've had that setting.

Thanks Dragonsys, btw love the signature text lol

You only need to use SMTP if your server does not handle the PHP mailer very well.

That's strange, being the updates you have done, do not make any changes to the SMTP files... Maybe it's something about the email addresses your server doesn't like?

Let us know if this works, or if your users still get errors.

Well no reported problems yet.

I'm not sure about the whole email thing, I'm pretty sure I was getting an error or something, and asked for help and someone told me to turn it on.

I don't know if its ever been fixed, but I know there was a problem with email being sent from boards going into junk mail folders of members, would that have anything to do with it?

if they are using yahoo and have their SPAM filters set, it might. Yahoo mail checks the domain the mail originates from, and if it doesn't match what the headers say it is, they tend to mark it....

Actually, I think it was happeneing with hotmail, yahoo, aol, and a few others. Someone on the other board awhile back said it was an issue that was going to be fixed and I never heard anything about it again

So even though I've posted messages for people to check their junk mail, a lot of them don't bother reading it, and don't get their email, so I lose out on a lot of members

well I know that I have a real problem with people spoofing my domain and sending SPAM, which gets my domain added to a lot of SPAM blockers for a while....

humm...I think I've had email come back before telling me its been blocked on purpose, but most of these emails don't come back, and users email me directly, and ask where their activation email has gone. But some don't bother even emailing me, so now I'm to the point where I don't know if they are even getting an email anymore.

I'm gonna put a solved up there
