Can News Block be added to page other then default ?

Hi,

I have read the KB on News configuration and setup but didn't find anything about adding the News block to a page other then default page. But I want to add the block to a secondary page.

When I tried doing that not everything worked. All though news items show up the menu links (Index | Categories | Archives ) do not work correctly. I tried setting the "News Mod Index File" to "portal.php?page=13" which solved the "Index" link but not the "Categories" or "Archives" links.

So my question is it possible to have the news block on a secondary page? If so what do I need to change to make it work?

You could also use your RSS feed, but those links would not be present. Just something to consider if you can live w/out the links.

Here is a link to the page I'm trying to create http://www.torontosailing.com/portal/portal.php?page=16 .

Sorry for the delay in responding but my test site is not accessable via the net so needed to create the page mockup on the real site first. As I had original posted the issue is the "Categories" and "Archives" links in the news block don't seem to work if the page is not the default.

I think I once had a question like this and the answer came by making a copy of the portal.php and changing some details to make the news mod refer to that. but I need time to refine and define!
