HTML Charater Codes

Quick question, with the special HTMl charater codes, just as   is the copyright symbol. How come you cannot use these in a post or signatures? You can do it stock on phpBB, but I can't nail down what is preventing it from being displayed correctly.

Currently working on this... It appears quite a few characters are not allowed, probable left over from previous mod or updateà¢Ãƒ ¢Ã¢â‚¬Å¡Ã‚ ¬Ãƒâ€šÃ‚ ¦

Thanks for the quick reply. I do believe it allowed then before I updated from phpBB 2.0.17 (with IM 1.4.0 and phpBB Security 1.0.2) But I'm not sure, but I did update my signature at that time with those charaters, went to update it last night and the charaters I used went nuts...

I'll see if I can fiddle around and see what I can do to help out... Other than that, I'll check back to see what you, or anyone else has found.

I think I understand the bug...

It is not related to the signature directly, but to the way php 2.0.20 treats HTML entity numbers. You might want to check my yesterday's post here : http://www.integramod.com/forum/viewtop ... highlight= and let us know if it is solving the problem...
