change domain name

I had to change doamin name of my site and now can access portal but getting many domainn not found errors when logging to admin panel ie.

it is still still looking for old name.

where in the server files do i have to hardcode the new domain name??

i cannot even access admin panel

Hi

you have to got your phpmyadmin find the database for you site....click on php_config click on browse and find server name and script name....change them to http://www.yourdomain.com and what ever folder intagramod is in...

i did that already but it still is looking for old name almost no matter what i do
if i click on menu bar it will come up cannot find and then the old name

Hi

What about .htaccess have you set that up with your old domain in it.....also if it is in your files as well they will cause it to go back...

i did the hta access already

old name bangkoksoftball.com

new name bangkoksoftball.info

problems logging on and of course no access to admin panel

isnt the url hardcode into one of the language files or something like that??

I can view http://www.bangkoksoftball.info just fine.....but if I click the nav links at the top of your site I get page not found ..is this what you are referrring to...?

I would say as this is an extra mod that you hjave added that the link is in the database for whatever the queries you added when installing that mod...

just find the install file and see what sql queries where added and then change the links..if that is not it i will loook into it further....


EDIT you need to chaeck also the block files as you are linking to the old site through an iframe...

i have not added any mods--the admin menu link is original--
not sure i understand --ill see if i can find an install file

When you click on the admin link you still goto your old domain..?

yes it is looking for old domain when i click on admin panel

It has to be a database issue..I am just trying to think of where there might be another instance that needs to be changed

tahnks--i was totally caught by surprise this am when i found that the bangkok.com name had expired-and i could not buy it back yet

when i logon it also fails but if i go back to Home it shows me as logged on

heres how it is working as of now

i was able to access admin panel by changing url in the address bar-jusat changed com to info

once in admin panel went to gen admin>configuration and changed domain name from bangkoksoftball.com tyo .info etc..

then i updated some bloces etc and now things are working ok

previouls i hah change the sql entry for site name but could not find where to change domain name in sql

I am happy you have it fixed there is nothing worse than when you cannot get into your admin panel.....
