I can't seem to save my knowledge Base configuration. I make the changes just fine and it looks like it saved and everything but when I go back in and look, everything is the still at the default and nome of my changes took place. I changed admin/admin_kb_config.php to 666, still nothing, and then 777, and still didn't do it.

What am i missing here?

After going through the initial trauma of dealing with Cracker Tracker, deciding I hate it, then deciding that if I hate it, then anyone trying to hack my site will hate it more than I do, I finally calmed down enough from my insane bout of frustration enough tro think rationally.

So far I like very much, just kind of frustrating dealing with CT, and dealing with my knowledge Base that doesn't work (still broke). It seem to run faster and smoother and I keep finding these little new things that I am totally digging. Great job guys, just a little bumpy with CT, but I'm sure everything will eventually work itself out.

I submitted a ticket (started a thread) in the help section for the KB thing. I'm sure it's somethng to do with copying my databases over or a CHMOD issue and not a problem with 1.4.1 itself.

Ctracker was a pain at first but once we figured out the debug mode that was cool... and reading the Ctracker site in german was entertaining if nothing else...

And yeah we downloaded and installed all the mods we have from scratch... which took some time.. but as yet we have had no problems, not like huge problems we had a tiny issue with Teelk's forum text colour mod, but Methos looked at the mod.. and it turns out a variable was renamed in the new version once he renamed it it works fine yippeeeee!!!

... no issues everything seems to be rolling over nicely since we downloaded it on the 19th so much love and have lots of Kudos guys.

$this to $ch_this in includes/functions_categories_hierarchy.php... I'm working my way through my MODs, haven't hit this one yet, but I'm assuming that was the problem.

I just wanted to say that you guys did a great job with IM 1.4.1!!!

The initial update was a little frustrating, but after figuring out how to get my ACP functioning again, and how to work with Cracker Tracker on my site, everything seems to be going good.

Pages seem to load twice as fast, and dont seem to hang (unless Im Debugging).

Some members of my site have even commented on how they like the update.

I don't think this is a IM problem... I did notice Helter said some people had jumped the gun too fast with downloads of the IM 1.4.1 and was wondering if there is a way he (being a darling can check the download list to see if we have one. the IP it would have been downloaded on is this 24.81.101.35.)

Tell you why.. up till last night IM was working fine no hitches no problems nothing like some people were reporting... it was in perfectly good working order.. then something happened and I don't know what.. but the result is we have the googlebot sending out PMs... yeah I know that sounds totally bizarre but the ip is the googlebot and user is anonymous.. trouble is Mr googlebot messages are obviously from someone.. in one it goes on to say that *they don't want to be called because they are having a relationship with someone on the board and it is inappropriate.* Which you know amused me.. who is having a fling with the googlebot I wonder. lol But it is not funny really that someone is sending what they think are private messages that are being sent to users wily nily so far I have 6 users with that pm.. another batch of pm's that looked like I sent but I have no recollection of sending them, and the best one by far every member is receiving phpbb security updates.

So I think this is a database table error as opposed to a IM error...

the other thing.. yep another.. my daily backup are a complete mess.. anyone speak klingon? cos that is what they look like.

like I said we had no problems until last night.. at the moment I have the whole board disabled and well I don't really know what to do.

check in phpmyadmin that your founder account is still set to user id#2 and that Anonymous is set to #-1 and inactive=0

you might also check with your host to see if they ave made any software udates

I'd also check the crackertracker logs for any suspicious looking activity. That definitely sounds like an intentional malfunction.

I cannot set my security question and stuff after installing the board, CrackerTracker says have made a security exploit attempt, what do i do, i do have access to the ACP though, if that helps
