I'm wondering if there is someone that could help me implement this mod into IM http://www.phpbb.com/phpBB/viewtopic.ph ... xi&start=0

I'm an avid FFXI player and am designing a web site for my group and this would be an awesome addition.

I'm using IM 1.41 latest release FYI. Thanks for anyones help.

I hope you meant 1.4.0 and not a beta release...

no, i am using the beta release. i am using this because it was the only thing i could get installed w/o errors to have the latest phpBB version as well as 1.0.3 phpBB Security Status.

now, if you have any tips/tricks/hints or what not to get 1.4.0 installed w/ the latest phpBB release by all means, i'm open for them.

i've tried installing the core 1.4.0 version w/ the 2.0.17 and using the premodded files w/ db updates, i've tried using that and actually hand modifying the code, i've even tried helterskelters phpBB to integramod converter all with no luck.

It's possible to get IM.17 updated to 1.03 security and .21 phpbb because that's exactly what many (including myself) have done.

It's not reasonable to expect advanced support for a beta release.

Where do you get errors?

If you ask good questions, you'll get good answers. Asking for advanced support on a beta release isn't good.

okay, i'll take my install from scratch to IM 1.4.0 with phpBB 2.0.17. Now would my best bet be to use the premods included w/ the updates or to follow the text document and do the updates myself?

Use premodded files on a fresh install, it'll be quick and painless.

Do each update individually.

Copy the premodded files to your site overwriting the existing files. Then upload the install folder and run the install/update_to_latest.php file from your browser. Repeat with all the phpBB core upates.

To update the phpBB Security MOD is slightly more complicated, but use the documentation provided in the download and you should be fine.

Order in which to update.

1) 2.0.17 to 2.0.19
2) phpBB Security update
3)2.0.19 to 2.0.20
4)2.0.20 to 2.0.21

i have managed to successfully get 1.4.0 up with phpBB 2.0.21.

Now that I have manged to do that, now back to my original request. Anyone willing to help?
