I downloaded (not sure where, here somewhere) the support ticket mod as used in this thread. This could be very useful and could be adapted for many other forum driven "fill in" forms.

I followed the directions in the readme into a test 141 site, but no go. My question is, the directions call for changing templates/subSilver/posting_body.tpl. Well, subS doesn't come with 141 and I'am using PowerMetal anyway, so I installed that portion in /PowerMetal/posting_body.tpl. Is that OK?

Also, in that same file, it calls for changing <td class="catBottom" etc., which doesn't exist, but <td class="cat" etc. does, so i changed as instructed, but changed the "catBottom" (lol) back to "cat" as was in the original file. Could this be the problem?

Final question, I noticed in the 141 demo site, there is a spoiler type deal below the menu boxes which closes down that menu. Is the code available to do that? Please advise.

I installed this mod on my site without difficulty.

posting_body.tpl changes need to be made to all templates you want the fill-in form to be in... so you did right there.

I only changed the code between the class="cat" lines I think... that was the only additional code. So you are probably okay there.

Did you set the forum(s) you wanted to show the form?

that is the new IMPortal version. It will be available soon and Im sure there will be install instuctions for im140 / 141 sites

Thank you both for your replies, I appreciate it. Yes, I did set which forum I wanted to control, I would get error messages when I attempted to make a post. I will try it again as I'am sure I screwed something up.

EDIT:
I redid it, and this time no errors, didn't do anything. Post are as normal. Maybe for some reason it won't work with PowerMetal. Will try a third time, and then just tell my people to just add whatever when it dont work <img>
