Using phpbb2 backups

My old forum was phpbb2, but I've now
installed a fresh, new integramod forum and
I was wondering (really really hoping)
that I could export the old topics and users
and add them to the new forum.

Any luck?

yes you can. just run the [url=http]phpbb to IM141[/url] update on the db

make a new db and upload your phpbb db to it. edit your current config.php to point to the new db. Upload the entire Install folder from the update package to your forum. Using ftp, dl and save all your root/includes/def_* files. These store your qbar, block and other info. Run the install/update, replace your def* files, update your db phpbb_cong root path and cookie path and you should be good to go.
Be sure to backup everything first

I get sql errors when uploading to my new
database <img> I've tried both, 'data only
backup' and 'full backup' but both propose
errors.

I'll take a screenshot of these errors if you
want?
