Searching : Inform all members when new messages are posted

I am searching for a MOD that would allow members to get an email when new messages are posted to specific forums - In my case, Secret Japan has a section with travel guides, and we post about 1 guide per week, so it would be interesting to have a way to inform our members when new guides are added.

Ideally, members would be able to get or not those emails, as they wish. Do you know if any MOD out there could do that?

Alternatively, RSS could be an option? I do not know how to use it, though...

I think they would have to use the "watched Topic" mod, and click on "Watch this Topic".
Any mod that would do what you want would have to be integrated into PCP. Perhaps Teelk or MrDSL can modify PCP to do what you want without adding a mod

"Watch this topic" would work, of course, but that would mean they have to first see the topic! In my case, most of the time, guides are just a single post in an unique topic, so in fact the idea would be to be informed that a new topic has been open...

What about "digests"? Could they be configured for that?
