I have a Navy/nautical portal and I would love to see a nautical theme. One with deeper blues and perhaps a deckplate-type background. I am certainly going to experiment with creating my own design when I get the time set aside to learn some theme-creation, but if anyone knows of one that exists now I would appreciate the link!

Did you ever do a theme? Do you still need one?

Not yet. I teach in a High School and the school year is just too busy for me to be able to set the time aside for this project. I hope to be working on it in mid/late June, unless something else comes up.

Obviously I'd love some advice and/or help on it....

No problem, I have bookmarked your site and looked at your theme.

Do you want a whole new theme designed or a modified theme you currently use. I ask this because sometimes people have mods installed that affect the templates.

The only mod I've made to that site is a maximum per-day post count mod, and it stopped working with the rounds of security patch updates last October. Other than that it is clean install, with Prillian removed.

I like the ability to adjust the picture in the header (upper-left) once in awhile, but other than that I am open for anything. The default theme is set for FI Subice, and I've given the users the option of going with the blue, grey and orange versions of that as well. I loaded the smartdark theme to give users an option of a dark theme as well.

A whole new theme option would be desired, with a mind to making it the default.

Thanks again for helping out on this. As you can see from the traffic, we have a lot of students and instructors using this on a daily basis to help them with school. The entire domain had 2.6 million page requests in the past 12 months - and everything on the site is free for them to use to help with their courses. I created the site and do the majority of the administration in my spare time - it's been a ton of fun seeing it take off and help students.
