I need to make a functioning upload page for a game development site.
I can make portal pages. I am asking is there a script to do this that I can use or do I need to create a whole new block file.
And if it is the later then I need a lot of help.

Created the page, linked to it, created a block in that page used random attach but not right, no upload function.
What I intend to do is Upload to a category or categories that are the same as downloads.

Did I explain that right?

I do see an attachment to posts but The admin does not want to manually move files all the time.

im still not quite sure what your trying to do. You could embed a pafiledb category into a portal page, but due to some of the security issues with pafiledb, allowing more than a select group of members or staff access to add files, may be a dangerous decision.

The game creation site needs an upload for the game files. An Ftp portal page if you will. A place to where the 3D artists, the programmers to upload their demos and releases.
The project lead does not control the site and cannot set up FTP accounts.
I suggested setting up a password protected directory and everyone use FTP. He want's all info to be under his control,
He would like a portal page where only a select few can even see the page link. A center files management page to upload to a specific category, so he does not have to move files for download.

If He were to give everyone in the group access, like a junior admin, would that enable upload. Or would they all have to access the adminCP to do this?

Should I add this in feature requests? Or will this be to seldom a mod for every board?

it sounds like what you want is already built into pafiledb. The relevant sttings are in acp/download/permissions - at the top select Group Permissions
you can add a dl catagory to pafiledb that is viewable to all and only assign upload privileges to a specific usergroup
