[SOLVED] Help !!! Super n00b cant access my Admin Panel

What was done before the problem appeared?
My idiot Board founder/admin, was also my host. I purchased a domain name and he couldnt get the I/M portal to open as the dot com domain, instead the forums opened. The very next day, his hosting site was shut down due to him not paying his bills.
Now that Ive gone thru the expense and headache of paying someone to move the backup file to a new host. The forums still open when you type the new domain name, but what the main issue is now, I cant access the Admin Panel because it keeps saying No Server Found. (his old hosting site).


What was done to try to solve the problem?
I have no clue what the guy has done to try to get me access back into the Admin Panel. And Im a complete n00b at this.
All my months of hard work is seemingly about to be flushed down the drain. Not to mention cash spent on the domain name, registry, and new hosting site.

In a nutshell, my so called friend who was the Founder/Admin/Host, and the person that talked me into getting this I.M portal and phpBB forum in the first place couldnt direct my homeportal to open as the domain name url when typed into a browser, instead the forums opened.

The next day his servers were shut down for failure to pay his bills.
Luckily he had made me a backup which I moved to a new pay site. The techs there installed it, but the forums are still opening when the new domain name is entered into the browser. And whats even worse, now I cant open my Admin Panel.

I am a complete n00b about this and its quite overwhelming. Could anyone help me with this ?

in phpmyadmin, open your database and edit the table phpbb_config
