Ocult left blocks on Forum???

Hi, i have a quiestion, can i ocult the left blocks when a go to the forum??? board navigation, user block, search, etc?????

i searched in the admin panel and i found nothing.

can i???

if by "ocult" you mean "include", or "exclude" the answer is yes
To include the blocks, choose "Enable system-wide portal header = "yes" in acp/IM Portal/Portal Configuration
To exclude the blocks, choose "Enable system-wide portal header = "no" in acp/IM Portal/Portal Configuration

To include blocks on the right of the index, choose "Enable system-wide portal footer = "yes" in acp/IM Portal/Portal Configuration, and set the blocks you wish to see on the right as "footer blocks"

I am looking for exactly the same behaviour as you but can't find the solution neither

You can exclude the left blocks from the forum by going to ACP/IM Portal/ Page management. Go to the portal page and set it to 3 colum layout.

Now go to the block management and go to your default (portal) page and all of the blocks that are set to header, simply change them to left. This will allow all block to still show up in the portal on right, left and center. In your forum (index), no blocks at all will be shown. All you will have is forum. Meaning no left or right blocks at all.

I hope this helps out. It works a treat. I do it to every IM 1.4.1 or IM Portal website that I put together for myself or others.

Thanks a lot for your answer which is clear to understand.... But, when I go to "page management" and select my IM Portal default for editing it, then the only parameters I can change are : Name, template file, forum-wide blocks, view by, and the names of the different groups.

I don't see anywhere the possibility to set a page on three columns.

Is there any MOD to the portal itself in order to get more settings ?

Ohhhhhh you are using IM Portal. Sorry. This will work. Simply go to the downloads and look at the page layout downloads. Somewhere in there you should see a 3 colum layout. Download that and upload it to your template folder in the layouts folder. Then refresh your ACP and go back to that very same place. Now you should see 3collum.tpl or something like that.

If you can not find that download, grab a copy of Integramod 1.4.1 and browse to the layouts folder of Integra2 and you can find all of the available layouts there.

Tried and true, works a treat. <img>

Once you do that, you will be able to set your page like i said then change all your blocks from header to left.

Hi Ray,
I downloaded the integra 1.4.1 and I got the files in relation with the 3 columns layaout. In fact there is one called 3_column.tpl and one called 3_column.cfg, I put both in the templates/subsilver/layout folder.
Then I selected this in the portal page configuration.
I had to delete the cache files in order to get "left" in the choice.
Then i had to put "enable system-wide portal header" to no in the "IM Portal configuration"
Everything is working now the way I want.

thanks for this it helped me out alot. one thing though that may help another. I did all that was said and uploaded the 2) 3_column files from the integra folder. But I still didnt have an option of choosing left. I deleted cache and even extreme cache files refreshed page logged off logged in etc. still no left option.

So I went to IM Portal/Block Position Tags and added the left option there and it works great <img>

am using phpbb2.023 and IM Portal 1.2.2a

This mod is great and just starting to learn the great features. TY for the help and this awesome mod

Nice looking site DirtyF. Glad everything worked out for you as far as turning blocks on and off and rearranging. I forgot about this thread it was so old. This was one of the handiest features I have ever found and used for IM Portal.
