you need to add the images to
macinscott/portal_page_header.tpl
macinscott/portal_page_tail.tpl
macinscott/layout/portal_body.tpl - (default portal page)

**if you have trouble, post your index_body.tpl and ill do the basics for you

these will add the images to the default portal page setup
