De.scription and Message

Hey there! Well it looks lie I have hit a wall once again. I thought that my home made Style section box was causing Lightbox mod to malfunction with the newly installed Evil template, so I decided to ad style_select_1.0.5 and remove the box I made. I had already removed the overall_header.tpl codes because all that did was plant a box smack dab in the middle of the index and looked stupid not to mention the fact that it wouldn't work once the IM Portal block was activated so, I tryed to follow all the instructions and leaving change_style-0.9.8b mod intact and installing style_select_1.0.5 but all that happens is that it flips back around to the same default template. I then tried removing change_style-0.9.8b mod but still with the same results. I have added the url in the acp but I think thats were the issue lies. The instructions seem vague and I'm not too sure what exactly to put in each line nor how it would offer the style for members to download if thats an option which I think it is but wouldn't that require yet another mod to be installed?

HelterSkelter,

Could you PLEASE take a look and see what I have done wrong or not doing? You still have full administrator access on my board.

Thank you once again for all your efforts and continued support....

im unfamiliar with change_style-0.9.8b, but since they both interact with the same functions, it is likely that they are conflicting. I would completely uninstall change_style-0.9.8b and recheck the style_select_1.0.5 edits. then delete the cache in acp/IM Portal

Thank you very much for the advise. I now have it working.

A few questions if I may,
Not knowing exactly how it functions I set the image file path for each style in every styles_select_body.tpl file using a cropped screen shot for each. This only shows an image for each template while in that template where as I thought the idea of having an image was to show a sample of the template prior to clicking, not after?

I also can't figure out how to set an image for templates that have multiple styles ie; AcidTech which has a regular and extended version in one template but writes to 2 different styles. Glass has 5 separate color styles in a single file structure as well so how can I put an image for each with only a single block files?

So this would be the final question which is, is there a possibility of installing the same style select mod and blocks used here? The fact that the images rotate to preview each style before selection makes it much more practicle. I really like how it works and would really like to use it instead of the current one I have.

Please let me knw.

Thank you again for all your efforts and continued support.

Never mind. Found a really good php slideshow with some cool features. One I'm using features square in/out fade. I probably could resize the images a little better but with 22 of them I'm a happy camper.

Time to move onto the next project.
