Okay I sort of got this working I'm having a problem though Teelk. The problem I'm running into is that the sql entires aren't working when I input the color codes. For some reason it doesn't save the color codes when I edit. I had to manually insert the color codes in the data base and then enter them in the ACP. The problem is now that for some reason one of my members is Red which he shouldn't be because there Red is for the Admins, the other users colors aren't showing up right and some colors aren't showing at all

I've got a problem I can't figure out:

I applied the AGCM changes to all my php and tpl files and emptied my cache files but the mod is not working.

This is my test portal, have a look:
http://rebirthoflight.net/roltest/index.php

You can see from the "who's online box" that the group colors are well defined, however my name "Aranel" does not appear colored as it should be, anywhere.
When I display the generated code of my name, in the "latest topics" block for instance I can see the following code:
Code: Select all
<a><span>Aranel</span></a>

So we can see that the fonction that call AGCM to find the ight displaying class is there, but the class is not the right one.
username_color_0 simply does not exists, and it should normally be one of the following (thanks to webdeveloper bar Firefox addon http://rebirthoflight.net/roltest/index ... 0c8a166fd4  <username_color_3>  [/code]

Where do I failed?

Thanks in advance

forgot my question above I finally sorted out.
It came from this "Inactive Session Time" option in the group color management. I disabled the session color on the board and all my problems had been solved <img>

you obviously forgot something <img>

I assume you adapted the code in all your template files, if so, the problem could be related to the color codes you assigned to your new template.
In the ACP, when you go in groups, colors, the fist screen asks you to choose between a specific theme to edit, or all of them at the time.
Are you sure you set the colors for your new theme specifically?

No I shouldn't have had to. I copied over the necessary files from the Intregra2 template file edits. The only thing I changed was the overall_header.tpl, and the config files and CSS files.

I understand that, but if you created a new theme you have to define the agcm colors from the ACP for that theme.
The color codes making this mod running are stored in the database and not in your php/css/tpl files <img>

Re: Advanced Group Color Management - IM 141

There seems to be a bug regarding group moderators, where they show up as "username_color" instead of with the correct group name. To view this, just assign to any group the moderation of a forum and view that forum.

After banging my head for a while (I don't know any PHP) I was able to find and fix the problem. Just go to includes/functions_categories_hierarchy.php and replace

Code: Select all
$s_group_names .= ( empty($s_group_names) ? '' : ', ' ) . sprintf("'%s'", str_replace("'", "'", $agcm_color->get_user_color($data['user_group_id'][$j], $data['group_name'][$j])));

with

Code: Select all
$s_group_names .= ( empty($s_group_names) ? '' : ', ' ) . sprintf("'%s'", str_replace("'", "'", $agcm_color->get_user_color($data['group_id'][$j], 0, $data['group_name'][$j])));

on line 425.

I hope this is useful to someone!
