I am happy to announce the release of the Public Beta RC1 for IntegraMOD 141. This means it is the first beta, there may be more before a final release. You can download the new beta from the download section (link at the bottom of this post).

BEFORE YOU INSTALL -
The Beta release is for the purposes of finding and fixing issues before the final release. This means IT IS NOT for installing for use in a website for public use. DO NOT use it as such. NO SUPPORT will be given for any website running the beta. The purpose of the public beta is to increase the chance of finding faults, bugs and issues before the final release and thus making it more stable for final release.

Please only use the Public beta forum to discuss issues relating to the public beta. http://integramod.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=52 Official beta testers can still use the private development forum.

We hope you like the improvements.

So far I had just one problem on the install, but it was easly changed. I couldnt do the last install feature. Other than that it went smooth. Its on my home comp so I can check the themes, and such to see what has changed for me on the site. But I loved how fast it went. Although I am going to reinstall for the test of prillian. I think I saw a typo. I am going to double check. Love the mySQL5 compatibility

I have it installed and running smoothly. It was a nice surprise to see it released sooner than promised! The inclusion of Advanced BBCode Box was a great decision!

I have two questions:[list type=decimal][*]Will a separate patch for phpBB 2.0.21 be released for IM 1.4.0? I would imagine it may be some time before a final 1.4.1 release, not to mention it will take a lot of work on my part to re-integrate other mods and custom styles.[*]When will a database upgrade script be available? I am anxious to test things out with a copy of my current data.[/list]Thanks again, folks!

Hey there,

1. Update already released here... http://integramod.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1489

2. I think that an update path will have to come with a final release or shortly before. This is because, to my knowledge anyway, there are going to be some major updates before final release.

Yeah, I was thinking of making a copy of my live database and seeing it if would work on top of it, is this likely?

I assume not?

I have added a few templates to the dl section for the 141 beta. Please do not use them for the purpose of reporting bugs. We really need to know that all reported bugs exist in the current 141 release and are not template related.
Thx

Zac if you have the ability to unzip on your server, this means a much faster upload and the chmod permissions are all in place. Check to see what your hosting allows as most offer the ability to unzip these days.

oh yeah now you tell me Adrian mere seconds after my upload is complete <img> I run on a virtual host and it would have been a command line thing anyways and i'm not too familiar with that yet. Just breaking in this PHP5 host.

Okay guys. Found my first minor bug but it's only in the installation file I haven't installed it yet:

On install page 1:
"2) A host server with PHP Scripting 4.x
Please note IntegraMOD does not currently run on PHP5 enabled hosts"

My gosh I hope that's not true. lol. I"m about to install I will keep you guys updated.

hmm...pressing the install button on the first page results in the page being reloaded. Anyone else having this problem?

*edit*: For more info, I'm using PHP5 and installing in the root directory. These are the only 2 things that could possibly affect this other than server settings.

I'm entering in all correct information, but pressing "start install" button at the bottom of the page doesn't do anything but refresh the page. Even tried pressing it without putting any information in the fields and it still just refreshes the page. No error messages or anything.

Seems like a php5 issue to me. If I don't get an answer, I'll upload it to my php4 server in the morning and try it.

If you were uploading files individually there may be a corrupt file If you can give your php5 version we can see if there could be an issue?

Zac,

In case you are using firefox and the no script extension this will happen. Just allow your host in no script and it should work.

I'm only bringing this up because that's what No Script did to me on occasion during testing.

The def_themes.php is incorrect in beta. To fix the problem, when you do an install remove all themes in ACP (except fi subice) and reinstall them.

The SVN copy has been updated... we should update the download.
