We are happy to announce the release of the Public Beta RC3 for IntegraMOD 141. This means it is the third beta, there may be more before a final release. You can download the new beta from the download link at the bottom of this post.

BEFORE YOU INSTALL -
The Beta release is for the purposes of finding and fixing issues before the final release. This means IT IS NOT for installing for use in a website for public use. DO NOT use it as such. NO SUPPORT will be given for any website running the beta. The purpose of the public beta is to increase the chance of finding faults, bugs and issues before the final release and thus making it more stable for final release.

Please only use the Public beta forum to discuss issues relating to the public beta. http://integramod.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=52 Official beta testers can still use the private development forum.

The following changes have been made. These are not all of the changes, only a few highlights.

 • Changed "Integra2 as default Template"
 • Fix to stop firefox from autofilling username and password on user management in acp.
 • Removal of Archive MOD
 • Added Lo-Fi MOD installed (This mod will basically drop all of the fancy graphics and backgrounds making it much faster especially for dialup users. To try it look in the footer for the "Lo-Fi Version" Link.

We hope you like the improvements.

EDIT: It's OK now.

IM 1.41 Beta is now in a feature freeze. Meaning nothing new will be added.

The only changes will be bug fixes from now on. This will do two things.

1. Give IM 1.41 Beta more stability as bugs are crushed
2. Give us a clue that the final release is much closer.

Please Note we do not know when the Final release is yet. But by testing on your host and reporting any bugs or problems and reporting them will help speed the process.

On another note that I know will come up, if another phpbb security update comes out it will most likely go in before release.

No, there is NO UPGRADE for IM 1.41 Beta. So you cannot upgrade your current Live forum. But I do suggest that if you have a Live forum and you want to upgrade it to IM 1.41 when the Final is released you may want to familiarize yourself with the Safe Way to upgrade your forum Tutorial and the use of XAMPP Preconfigured for use with IntegraMOD.

These were both written because I totally screwed up my own live forum by trying to upgrade. I'm hoping that the more folks that use these tools the less panick posts we will see during our first few weeks of Final release.

Finally I think the Dev's deserve alot of thanks for all of the hard work and free time they have put into IntegraMOD 1.41 Beta. It's been amazing watching all of the changes over the past months. Way to go guys!

Isn't 141 meant to be running a newer version of Categories hierarchy not v2.0.4?

Looking good, I did spot that the Cackerback mod Log files are not already CHMODDED to 777 after install.

Just installed on a test server to enjoy the new features...

I have small comments; just disregard them if I made mistakes, please:

- The template folder contains files for "fisubice" and the new "Integra2", which is by the way very nice. But it seems that only Integra2 is available when the users or admin create their accounts ("Board style").

- The approval system is not working when the person who can approve or reject messages is not a moderator - but this was not working neither in 1.4.0, unfortunately...

- Rating and Cash: I don't really understand how to use the rating system anymore. I configured the Cash System with "points", and wanted users to be able to rate posts. But the "rating enable" which used to be in the ACP / Forum Admin / Management + disappeared. The "Latest Ratings" link on the Board Navigation says that "the rating system is de-activated at present"...

- Album : You can not add multiple pictures at the same time, as it used to be possible in 1.4.0; this is really a problem when you have members uploading 5-10 pictures to put in a message. Oh, and you can rate your own pictures!! But the rest of the album is really great...

- CrackerTracker : just noticed that you can select how the copyright of this MOD is displayed on the main pages. But even if you select the text only version (the last choice in the ACP), the Ctraker logo is still displayed on the main page. Not very important though...

I will continue ti check this beta version.

Thanks for your great work, the result is really impressive. I thought I would not upgrade after the final version is released, but I just changed my mind.

well... I have RC3 installed under PHP5 and it's running like a charm
I've customized it to look like my IM Portal page and am throwing up a ton of test users, forums, topics, and PM's

I'll let you know if I see anything wonky

Mike,

No, I have not created a new beta as of yet because I wanted to give time and testing of your new fixes before doing so. and to be honest time has been against me. But I will get a new one out soon. Have you added anything to SVN or should I manually add the edits?

Imajica,

Sorry bud, things have been crazy with the hacking stuff going on, it's slowed everything down. I don't even have my sites updated with Mikes fixes yet.

Hopefully thanks to Mikes hard work we should be getting back on track soon and hopefully releasing 141 very, very soon.

Fubie, I will update what I can today... and let you know how we stand... Ask the beta guys to test with global_register on and off off.

Update: The three file requiring security fixes have been updated, everything should be up to scratch. I think there is one more normal <img> update remaining...

Mike,

I'll work on global_register on and off tonight when I get home.

You want it tested on PHP4 and 5 both ways?

Ok Mike, sounds good, I'll try releasing today if time allows, or tomorrow at latest.

Imajica, If you can test with both php4 & php5 that would be perfect. Thanks very much for all the testing!

PHP4 is on a freebsd box, PHP5 is on a Fedora Core 4

I've left complete sites up and running on freebsd and php4 register_globals on and fedora core 4 php5 register_globals off...in case you are interested... but I won't make the links exactly public
