[SOLVED]Locked out my admin accounts

PostAuthor: ihammo » Sun May 28, 2006 6:12 am

I REALLY hope someone can help.

I was setting up the permissions for my groups and forums and somehow I have managed to lock out access to any of my admin accounts (i had a couple)

When trying to log in I get this message:

It appears you have been banned from this website. If this is a mistake or you are not sure why you are banned, please contact the board administrator.

Board Administrator: admin [at] xxxxxxxxxx.org.uk

You have been blocked because you have permission to be staff, but the admins did not grant you permission in the security panel

Can anyone help?!?! Having to start from scratch again is not an idea I like too much Sizeable donation if anyone can fix this!!

Here's something I dug up that might help:

Your Founder account should be able to access the site. Delete you browser's cookies and cache and log into the site using your Founder account.

Go to ACP>Security>Special and set the right amount of admins and mods. In the future, if you're going to add a admin or moderator, you should first increase the number in ACP>Security>Special first.

Founder & Admins = "Amount of allowed admins"

Jr. Admins and Moderators = "Amount of allowed mods"

YOU HERO!!!!

Superb, i used phpmyadmin to change the DB values for mods_allowed and admins_allowed and I can get back in.. phew phew phew

Thank you so much for this, I wouldn't have had a clue where to statt looking.

Integramod is very cool but the manuals are a little thin on the ground Is there actually a manual at all for sec 1.0.3?

Thanks again!!
