Unable to Log in As Admin

I am requesting someone's expertise, here.

The board I have (mostly for personal use, so only a handful of users) has been running fine until approximately a week ago.
It was when I attempted to add a KB entry that I got a CT alert - no biggie, I'll just go into ACP and remedy the false positive and go on.

That is when I encountered the logon error indicating my "attempts have been exceeded .. for this session"
I go into PHPMyAdmin and set the number of attempts to "1"
I log out, and delete cookies to my site.
I attempt to log in and now I just get, "The number of entries of Visual Confirmation has exceeded the limit in this session."

I am able to log in as a test user I have, but it only has regular user privileges, not admin, etc.

As an aside, I am seriously considering mving to a different host (long history of weird issues with them) but I'd like to get this resolved first.

What might you suggest I attempt in order to restore proper access of the admin (the only one at that) for my board?

I tried to get into the admin CP again today and this time I get: "Logged In Users cannot access the site."

This is starting to get pretty annoying as I am unable to do anything in ACP.

I am otherwise logged in and can view my existing posts, but at this rate I'm almost ready to simply download what posts I have and call it quits on 141.

I really don't need to spend time on "working" on a board/portal as I do using it. I'm to busy to have to deal with this type of thing.

The board/portal is a great entity to use, assuming you have the time to sit there and tweak it, pamper it, baby-sit it, and otherwise spend all this time keeping it from "breaking" on you.

Yeah, I'll back up the SQL directly for references sake, but I'm probably just reverting to a stable "vanilla" forum of some kind.

Perhaps when the next iteration is available I'll come back to the iMod - for now, it's too attention/labor-intensive for me who doesn't have the time to work on it.

Well you could try using your test account and try setting 2 founders like explained [url=http]HERE.[/url]

But I have no idea if it would work. You may be better off waiting untill someone who knows better has time to help you. <img>

If you do get in change that asap! maybe set all the attempts stuff to 3 or 5.

Further, I discovered a compromised directory set up for phishing under cache_tpls - the host confirmed it.

I'm stopping the board altogether. I just don't have the time to go through and try and deduce what file is compromised, what database value is the culprit...and the fact that aside from you I have not seen any other replies that at least suggest a course of action from those that develop the forum leaves me little choice in what action to take.

Perhaps just a plain phpbb-like board is all I may go with. I use it for tracking my own things and don't really make it public, per se.

Perhaps in a later version I will revisit this CMS/Portal.

You do understand that would mean you were hacked, and it was nothing you or the form did.

When you fall back you'll lose the 2 security mods. sorry but I can't see how that will help you. Security is a big issue with anything on line and it does eat some time.

the hacked directory was after the fact that I lost access to the board.

And I agree that as with any board/forum or other online presence there is always a need to monitor for such hacks and other clandestine activities that compromises one's site.
