After updating, this is the error I get:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: phpbbsecurity_guests() in /home/content/s/e/k/sekgg/html/common.php on line 412

From the installation page, no errors occured, as seen here:

What is the update folder? I don't have one on the server.

Would it be better to do a clean install with 1.4.1 and then upload my database, or is that possible, or too much for a novice to do?

originally he released the updat in a folder called update. it is now in a folder called install. Just delete the install folder
