I've done this modification for images as attachment for a better display.
Attachments are displayed with tables, and I didn't like the way it did for images...
So, I changed the layout for that (and cutted out the viewcount)
The same could be done for thumbnails, but I couldn't do the configuration for that...(there's no 'Imagick' on my server, I guess)
I also had to change the configuration to prevent large images overstretching the message-table...
On the ACP: Extensions > Special categories
[flash=,:2xrs1mly]http://www.stelplaats.be/Brugge/files/ext_special_780.jpg[/flash:2xrs1mly]
With this configuration,
images larger than 550 px width will be converted to 550 px[/align:2xrs1mly]
[hr:2xrs1mly]An example...
The screenshot above, was uploaded without resizing it before...
Uploaded as an attachment it looks like this on my site:
[flash=,:2xrs1mly]http://www.stelplaats.be/Brugge/files/img_attach_example_195.jpg[/flash:2xrs1mly][/align:2xrs1mly]
On top of the image you find some info about the file...
REMARK: it displays the uploaded filesize, but in reality it's 71.87kB after resizement...
On the bottom it shows the comments, if any...
