New post How to configure Spell Checker...

My site is using both French and English languages, and members will post in any of those languages. After writing a message, the poster is supposed to check the spelling. But the spelling is only done in English, and all French words are rejected, although present in the database.

But if I changed the spell_config.php to :

  1. $Spell_Config['Default_Language'] = 'Francais';

Then the checking of the spelling is done exclusively in French, and all English words are rejected! Although, in the same file, the following line is present :

  1. $Spell_Config['Languages_Supported'] = array('English', 'Francais');

How to use at the same time 2 languages on Integramod, and how can the program select the good language and use the correct list of words?

Thanks,

Jon

I should have started with a more fundamental question:

"Is anybody using a forum with 2 languages"? If you do, how do you manage the dictionnary issues?

Thanks for your help.

Jon

It seems that I am the only one with problems with the spell checker... I come back with my question again (sorry !): any idea how to configure the spellchecker to handle two different languages?

Thanks,

Jon

The easiest option might be to have two different submit buttons below the spellchecker, one per language, and redirect to two different php file...

I will try that, but it might be difficult...
