I’m new to the world of geodata and really curious about how it’s used across different fields. I understand it basically means geographic information, but beyond that, I’m a bit lost on what kinds of data are included, how it’s collected, and what the main applications are.
Does anyone have recommendations for beginner-friendly resources or examples of real-world projects that use geodata? I’m interested in everything from mapping and environmental monitoring to business and urban planning.
Also, what tools or software would you suggest for someone just starting out who wants to experiment with geospatial data?
Would really appreciate any advice or guidance!
