Is it telling you that your banned all the time, or just when your logged in? If your banned even as a guest, then user -1 (Anonymous) is banned.
What is your forum URL?

O.K. thanks for thi pic delete, didnt even cross my mind. all done and still get the banned message. even cleared the cache.

no, it is not broken. Three lines up from sec_admin is the random string you need to reinsert as the data for sec_admin. The random string 3 lines up has a data entry of 2. Change that to 5.

I removed the image for your security. Those random string are your private info and keep hackers from using sql injection to get admin on your board. They correspond to the same random strings in root/includes/phpbb_security.php

I jacked it up, i know i did, the sec_admin had a bunch of letters (like the ones below it) and i changed it to 5. Is it jacked beyond repair?

After i posted i saw the enteries above the random letters. I copied the random leters back to the value and changed the 2 to a 3, still no joy.

you dont need to edit the table, only the table contents
in phpmyadmin, look to the left and click the name of the table you want to edit.
This will bring up a list of the tables
after the table "phpbb_config", click the first icon. The mouse over should show you a title called "Browse"
somewhere between page 7 and 9 (maybe different) you will find one of the two table entries I mentioned previously. To edit them click the pencil icon following the data name
edit the config_value and click "Go"

open your db in phpmyadmin. edit the table phpbb_config
there are two possibilities here depending on the update history of your board.

#1
find
"admins_allowed"

update the number to the correct amount of admins you have on your board

#2
find in the config_name row "sec_admin"

the config_value for this entry will be a random number. This random number will also be found in phpbb_config as a "config_name" The config_value" for this random number should be the amount of allowed admins

change to how ever many real admins you have. then go to acp security/special and check that it says you have the correct amount of admins and mods.
Always update the number of admins here first before actually giving them admin to be sure there are not more admins than the board will authorize.

Yep to number one and nope to number two, although im almost positive i disabled number two, I obviously did it wrong. how do i fix it?

did you recently make another user an admin or mod on your site? or did you recently enable admin account protection in acp/security/special?

I was updating my site and was hit with this

"You have been banned from this forum. Please contact the webmaster or board administrator for more information"

Now I cant do anything. I tried clearing my cache and deleting the browser history. No matter what I do I get the same page.
How do I fix this?
