Hi all,

I just got another dedicate server for my site running IntegraMOD 1.40. This is going to be my dedicated SQL server.

What I would like to know is, how do you 'tell' IntegraMOD to use the database on server2, while the files are stored on server1 instead?

The situation is:
* Server1 is holding all the FILES.
* Server2 is holding the MySQL database for IntegraMOD.

I copied the database across from existing server1 to server2.

I then changed the HOSTNAME in the config.php file to point to the hostname of SERVER2 (even DNS and IP address doesn't work).

The error once I change the config.php file to point to Server2 is something on the lines of

"...users table doesn't exist"


Even though the database is copied there and I can see the table fine.

Is there something else I need to change to point IntegraMOD to the new SERVER2?

Hello,

Regarding what you explained it should work in this state. You told IM the right way (with the config file) where your DB is.

If it doesn't work,:
* it's maybe because the server 1 do not "see" the server 2, something that can not normally happen if your files are hosted by a professionnal provider, is it the case or are you hosting your files by your own?
If you can connect with telnet on your server 1, do it and try to ping your server 2 to see if it replies.

* Or the DB name/user/password changed from server 1 to 2 and you didn't applied the changes in your config file

* Or the DB copy from server 1 to 2 failed
