De.scription and Message

Hi,

I've taken over a site, http://www.twitchythumbs.co.uk from someone else.

I've sucessfully uploaded all the bits to my host, and the site is working fine.

However, how do I add new admin accounts for integra/im portal mod, and how do I change the password for the current admin account?

My sql/php/phpbb/importal/integra knowledge is non-existant I'm afraid!

However, how do I add new admin accounts for integra/im portal mod, and how do I change the password for the current admin account?

Well first you just create a normal account, or have them sign up for a normal account. Then you would go to ACP > User Admin > Permissions > Enter the name of the one you want to make admin > Change User Level : to Administrator

Then if you want the rank to show him/her as admin as well, go to ACP > User Admin > Manage > Enter the name of the one you want to make as admin rank > Scroll Down to Rank and set as Administrator

Secondly, to change the password of the current admin/board founder is the same as any account.

Log in as Board Founder/Main Admin then either go to your own profile and change the password there, or go to ACP > User Admin > Manage > Enter your own name/Admin name > Change password

be sure to update the number of admins and mod in acp/security/special/
If the amount of admins excedes the amount of allowed admins your new admins will not be able to log in to your site. Same for moderators

Since you brought it up in this thread... :o
I have 4/8 (admins/mods) and I've set it to 10/15, but still doesn't change.

It appears you have more admins in the users table than allowed!

I don't get it. <img>

what version are you using. I had this trouble on a 140 site that I upgraded to phpBB Security 1.0.3 incorrectly. Ive not heard of this problem with 141. If your running 140 w/ phpBB Security 1.0.3, recheck your edits and re-run the sql
